Health Care Changes

The only way we will see any real change in the present disease care system will be due to the public refusing to use drugs and surgery for every ailment but rather turning to providers who offer diagnosis that is noninvasive and mild and treatments that are noninvasive and mild.

Would there be a drug dealer on every corner if there were no customers? Did organic grocers just appear or did they respond to the public demand? The public has the only real power there is. It is time to get busy and speak up. Ask your doctor about alternatives to drugs for your ailment and pretty soon, hearing from enough patients he will look and find all the resources for health currently available and he will change.

No one is advocating against acute invasive medical care when it is needed but there is no need to drug someone who is depressed, or has mild high blood pressure or cholesterol problems. Have you ever tried to drink yourself into a better mood? Same solution, it never lasts. The real help is discovering why you have trouble handling the ups and downs of life by looking at your hormone status, your food sensitivities, your heavy metal overload or many other "whys". The only way to overcome the tendency to develop circulation problems is to remove the reasons they develop in the first place. There is no deficiency of the latest drug.

Drug companies and their congressmen and women are turning up the heat. They are attacking compounding pharmacists and trying to do away with a woman's ability to get personal and effective hormone replacement therapy. If there are no more compounding pharmacies you will see the throat of complementary alternative medicine cut and you will no longer have medical solutions that heal and actually work for you.

In the case of "mental illness" drug companies working with psychiatrists have turned every problem in life into a mental disorder. There are moves to "screen" every woman who is pregnant for mental illness; the treatment is drugs. The mental illness is vague malaise we all feel during normal pregnancies. Did you know that their diagnostic and statistical manual contains the mental illness of reading disorder, or caffeine addiction? You need to buy one at your local book store and have a look and a good laugh, it is called the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association. If a school fails to educate a child they have the mental disorder of being unable to read and do math, they can be drugged and treated as a psychiatric case, go figure.

Health care dollars of the American public are being wasted and now politicians want all of us to be bound by universal health care. You need to fight for the right to determine your treatments and to refuse treatments that harm and do not help. It should be you who determines what is best for you.
